Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

This place is always busy, the food is always hot, the restaurant is always clean! Everything is really good, I've tried almost everything on the menu. In some other reviews people complain about bad service, however this has not been my experience. I think when you go to a Chinese restaurant, you have to consider that the people who own and operate the place are probably going to be Chinese. Chinese people have a different culture than Americans, so some Americans may think they are rude. We are always greeted and treated so well!

Please tell your waitresses not to intrude while eating dinner. It makes a dinner very unpleasant and not satisfying. Reaching over me while eating my dinner is not a good thing. I'm a slow eater and they were ready to clear the table. The waitresses were hovered over me while I was eating. Things need to change.

Went to China King tonight for dinner, because my dickhead friend Sean said it was delicious?? Had a good crowd but did not have a wait!!! I had unsweet tea which I would rank a nine out ten!!! First trip went to Mongolian it was okay not as good as the golden palace on meridian but still good. Next course went with some spring rolls, fried rice, and crab ragoons; the ragoons were the bees knees the rest was okay though! Had some hot/sour soup it was good but the highlight the ice cream!! Overall I say 3/5 go if your near!!!

This was the worst place that I've been to as far as Chinese food. I came on two different occasions and found it to be subpar at best. And I say that because you can find something to eat, but the traditional staples like General Chicken, Honey Shrimp, and Sweet & Sour Ck were not up to par. They taste like very simple sugar gel not gels because I couldn't tell any differences between them. I will not eat here unless once again...friends want to eat here but I will make other suggestions to some place else. But I'm not a very picky eater, I'd take one for the team.

I like this buffet. Wasn't expecting much since the reviews were all over the place and not all of them are recent. China King has about five buffet tables with a wide variety of items to choose from. The sushi was not good but then again, this is not a sushi restaurant so I'd advised you to skip it. I thought prices were reasonable. It was about $10 for Sunday dinner. Service was great - dirty plates were picked up right away and drinks were always refilled. I didn't have any problems with this place and would definitely come back.

I went there for lunch yesterday, and it was the worst Chinese buffet that I have ever come a cross. Everything taste like sugar and like they has been sitting there from a day before. It is just horrible.

The last time I been here was a very long time ago. I was expecting great things from this place. However, I was disappointed about this visit. I came on a Saturday and they were still serving lunch until 3PM. It was $7ish, so the price went down according to my last review. I was really looking forward to their coconut/honey shrimp, but it tasted dry and is full of batter. It literally had more batter than shrimp. I had a big piece of batter with no shrimp. I don't know why but some of their dishes had soggy meat batter. I didn't enjoy those at all. The only thing that I really liked was the buffalo chicken. I find it a bit funny that in this Chinese restaurant, the thing that I liked most was Buffalo Chicken. It was a popular item because it was emptied out by the customers. The sushi was ok, but I didn't like it very much as well. Everything was covered in plastic wrap so you would had to lift the plastic wrap up each time you want to get something. I don't think I would want to come back here again.

A friend recommended this place and let's just say I'm under impressed. It might be because I'm comparing it in my head to Taste of China on western just north of 240. Nothing here stood out. The price for Saturday night dinner was good: $10.49 per adult. Sushi bar was a wide selection. . . And it had some rolls with avocado. There was fried zucchini out. Not sure why this place didn't make me want to come back, but although the food was passable and the selections fine, I probably will spend a couple more bucks and go elsewhere next time.

Standard buffet fare. It's not a super buffet. It's not bad, not chinese luxury either. I would never expect anything more than standard at a buffet. Price for 2 during lunch was under $16. Sweet & sour sauce is more like "sweet & sweeter" sauce. Bathrooms were clean. Great spot for if you really want some cheap chinese food. I have no complaints.

One of the best Chinese Buffets I've ever been to in Oklahoma City! I just moved to Columbus, OH from OKC and will truly miss China King. The sushi bar is fresh and very good! The coconut shrimp and general Tso's chicken is always very very good! There is a nice array of seafood, (crawfish, shrimp, fish, etc.) and a nice mongolian bar.
(5)Eddie S.
*Warning* Bathrooms were very dirty. Pan noodles had a rotten smell, and the chicken with Broccoli was not cooked all the way through the meat. I thought the the Hibachi grill would be safe, I promise you the cook had the food on the grill no more than five minutes resulting in uncooked vegetables and chicken. The OKC health dept needs to shut this place down.

Not very impressed. They had lots of stuuf, just not the stuff I like.
(2)Tom P.
Very good, large selection and lots of beef, shrimp, pork, and fish dishes... other than chicken chicken chicken at most other Chinese buffets. The place is huge, but a little on the messy side. Staff seems a little unsociable, but they're probably tired of watching us gorge ourselves and seeing all the food we waste. Great Mongolian grill and sushi assortment.

I am gonna have to say that this was a fantastic buffet. The flavor and taste of the food was slightly lacking however the sheer amount of options that were available made up for it. The food is definitely doable. It was good but not great. I have never been to a buffet with more Dessert options in my life. It is a Chinese buffet however there are other options such as Mexican and a pizza. I did have a ribeye steak and it was delicious. If I was in the area I would definitely do it again.

When I say I wasn't impressed by this place I mean it. Asthetic-wise the restaurant was clean and not too bad. The people I was with seemed to really enjoy the food but I found it to be somewhat cold with very weird taste. But who knows maybe that's just me. They definitely exaggerated ow amazing the food was. Thanks Yelpers. The staff seems nice though.

Absolutely disappointed. My family and I were visiting Oklahoma City and we decided for our first night here we would go to this restaurant. I was extremely excited since I've been craving sushi, and since the place had good reviews I was tickled! I went there and grabbed my first plate of sushi and I went to grab my favorite one to eat and THERE'S A DEAD FLY IN IT. I was absolutely disgusted and totally lost my appetite. I would give it no stars if possible. Definitely not recommending to anyone!

I love this place, whenever we can't decide on what restaurant to go, we always end up here, has a little bit of everything, sushi, mongolian bbq, chicken, pork, shrimp, fish and very reasonably price

My wife and I were visiting from out of town and found China King. The food was very flavorful and fresh. The buffet has a nice variety of items and was kept full. We will definitely be going back when in town again.

I hate to see some good restaurants gone bad like this one. I used to love this place and stay here for hours to enjoy their food, but it's not as half good as before. To the management, you think I couldn't see the change of ingredients inside the sushi rolls? They don't put the good stuff any more such as eel or not even shrimp. The rest of the food tastes simply gross.
(1)Cali F.
The food is average; lots of options. But the one thing that bothers me the most about this place is the cleanliness. I went through several dishes before I finally found a clean one to use. T

I heard this place was pretty great, but upon my review I thought it was anything but. When I walked in you are just hit with an overwhelming smell of fish, which even going to a good sushi restaurant you never smell fish! I was a little considered about that, but I decided to just stay away from the sushi anyway. We were not greeted with hospitality and treated very poorly when we asked for another drink because they brought use the wrong one. The food tasted like any other Chinese food place, just with more options such as clam, crayfish, fried squid legs & frog legs. Which my husband tried all of them just because those are things we had before and were curious on their stand. The fried octopus was not chewy what so ever, it was like eating octopus jerky! Blah! Clam was greasy, and almost tasted spoiled. Though I will say that the frog legs surprisingly wasn't that bad. Everything else just seemed very mediocre. When it came time to get our bill, it was a reasonable price 4 people $41 dollars; But then the waitress looks at it and just takes the bill and walks away, doesn't tell us why or anything. Brings it back and it jumped up too $52 dollars! We asked why and she told us they charged us for the wrong things. We asked if they had a senior discount because I had brought my grandparents along with us, she said yes. We told them their age but argued that they weren't, even though they were both over 65! Afterwards she finally agreed to it and I gave her my card and when she returned with the receipt there was no adjustments. I'm not stingy with my money, I'm okay with paying that amount, but don't tell someone you will adjust the bill and not do it! On the way In I heard a couple say they were rude, and the food wasn't that great. I wish I would have just took those warning signs and decided on a different place to eat but you live and learn. I would not come here again, maybe you will have better luck than me.

I went with several friends and we went for dinner on a Sunday. I wasn't sure how the food was going to be because of the reviews. I actually enjoyed the food. Since I'm Asian of course I have had authentic food but this place good so I gave it a four. I was not impressed with the sushi but it is a buffet so what more can you get when sushi is usually really expensive. This place has a good selection of food and the price wasn't too bad. I paid a little more than 10 bucks for dinner. I would definitely go back.

We went a second time for mother's day. My roomie's mom always likes to go to buffets. Anyway, with the addition of this 3-star review, it'll make my reviews even out to 3.5, like I wanted. Haha! So anyway, I have to say I've discovered the butter shrimp is really good, at least in my opinion. The octopus rings (I mistyped last time, it's octopus, not squid) was still a bit cold, but... can't help it, I still love those things! Mmm, tentacles. Sushi's still quite good this second trip, too. I tried to try the items I didn't try last time, and found everything's good so far, although the crawfish didn't impress this Louisiana girl. Oh, they weren't bad, but I found them underseasoned for my taste. I saw one lady who piled her plate with them twice, so I guess they're just not what I associate with crawfish. That's my issue, not China King's. Next time, I'll try the mongolian grill. Still haven't looked at the bathroom, but their place is full of bottles of hand sanitizer, and people constantly cleaning. I really can not say I believe it would be that dirty. Here's the thing that keeps making me rag on that reviewer: Anyone who works in food service or any big, public place with a bathroom, knows how the bathroom can turn into a disaster area by the hands of just a small handful of nasty people, in a short period of time. I never judge a place by it's bathroom, unless it is an absolute wreck every single time I go. Because let's be honest: How dirty a bathroom is, is FAR more a reflection on the customers who have been through that day, than on the place itself. If people were decent human beings, they'd clean up after themselves, and there'd almost never be a need to clean the bathroom, save to sanitize the surfaces of germs.

OKC has just under a million Chinese buffets; however, this one is the best!!! What more is there to say...
(5)Guy P.
Haven't been here in years so I thought I would try it out. I am regretful that I did. There is more tasteful choices at one of the fast food chains next door. The tea was stale and not palatable. The Mongolian BBQ had few choices and seemed under cook. And I always enjoy broccoli beef when I visit a Asian food placed but not here. The beef was slimy and gummy with lack of texture in the beef. As far as the wIt staff they are unattentive. Didn't get a welcome or hi my name is. I was seated... given a initial drink... And given a check. No inquiry of how's your food or would you like a water refill. The decor is decaying and some touch ups are much needed. There is nothing about this place that impresses me. This will be my last visit.

I'm surprised by all the great reviews for this place. It's a pretty standard, run of the mill chinese buffet. The day I went, the food wasn't too fresh. Additionally, nothing on the buffet stood out to me. It was all just kind of blah.
(2)Kim G.
Good selection. If you go during their slower times like any buffett the food isnt as fresh and fully stalked as when they are busy. The food taste good and they do offer sushi and made to order grill. Did notice a cochroach crawling around once.

Having gone to buffets all over the nation, this has definitely got to in the top tier. I've went to at least four different Chinese buffets in the OKC metro and hands down, China King is the best. It has an enormous variety, especially in terms of seafood and sushi! It has a separate sushi section with a lot of different kinds of raw fish and sushi, including classics like California Roll, Dragon Roll, and Unagi Roll! In terms of hot food, they have the best selection of seafood dishes I've seen in the OKC metro for probably 10 years. I went there last week and there was not 1, not 2, but 5 different shrimp dishes! It was great! The food is always fresh and taste wonderful, not gourmet obviously, but for a buffet, it's more than good. On the weekends, they even have crab legs! But you'll have to be fast!! The China King veterans always pounce at a fresh batch of crab legs and all the crab legs are gone within minutes! I suggest taking a plate and grabbing as many as you can when they come out. The location is also lovely. After a big meal at China King, Quail Springs Mall is literally a block away. A quick drive in the car and you can be taking a nice after meal stroll in the mall. The service is also quite diligent. My water was always at least half filled and the dirty plates were taken in a timely manner. The price wasn't exuberant, but it could have been cheaper. Last week, it was $9 per person for lunch. I think the amount, variety, and selection of food makes it a definite go to place for Chinese buffet. Pros: - Great seafood selection - Excellent Sushi Bar (included in the buffet price) - Great Service - Amazing Tastes! - Good Location Cons: - Slightly Pricey - Popular Items (like Crab Legs) are often slow to be refilled

This place is such a gem. You'd never guess this was in OKC! I've eaten at a lot of buffets in my life and this is definitely the best for the $. They have a ridiculous amount of food available....stir fry grill where you choose what to grill and the sauce, fried and stir fried everything, great shrimp dishes, steamed crawfish on the weekends, fruit, salad, and marginal sushi.....but for $7 lunches and $9 dinners, it's a no brainer....I've eaten here 3x in a week and 1/2. It's not good for you....they use butter and fry a lot, and it's a buffet, but the food is legitimately tasty!

Great buffet......a lot of variety!

Chinese buffet with a nice selection of dishes and sushi. Prepare yourself for food coma afterwards.

ok,, again hot fresh food, great service... at a great price.. everything was perfect... BUT BUT BUT,,, a server dropped a wash cloth on the floor than cleaned off a table with it... maybe just be me but i thought it was a bit nasty... however the food was awsome...

This year as my family gathers around the roasted turkey and green bean casserole I will be giving thanks for China King. If I had the option to give it more than five stars I would. It is large, not excessive, but pretty huge, and brimming with people. We ate at 7pm on a Sunday night and it was super full. The restaurant is amazingly well lit, not like the dim and largely empty buffets normally found in Oklahoma City. The Mongolian Barbeque looked amazing however we didn't indulge in that. I gorged myself on the freshly rolled sushi. Freshly rolled, a phrase which here means I watched the men fill, roll and slice it. I'm not entirely sure what I was eating, some cucumber, avocado, crab stick, eel, and awesomeness. The typical buffet foods were anything but. The soggy, mushy, gelatinous, congealed whatnot at the aforementioned buffets in OKC are the exact opposite of what is served at China King. The food tastes fresh, and it is, because of the masses of humanity eating there the staff are constantly refilling the dishes, and the flavor is wonderful. China King is perfect in every way.
(5)Ron H.
This is an amazingly good Chinese Buffet. Not only do they have extremely fresh chinese food & sushi they also have things that I didn't expect like fried froglegs, clams and crawfish. There is also a good selection of American foods. Everything I tried was great and it will be my buffet of choice.

Being in Oklahoma you will run into a few buffets. Well this one was a pleasant surprise. I'll get right to the food selection, because that's what is important at a buffet. I tried the Kimchi, shrimp (cocktail and butter), crab ragoon, marinated mushrooms, pasta salad, seafood melody, egg-drop soup, teriyaki chicken and spring rolls. All the food I tried was tasty and well seasoned. Just a couple of slightly off things, I had a few cocktail shrimp that were not full de-veined and one of the spring rolls I had started to ooze grease when I was almost to the end of it. No thank you .I put that in a napkin and placed it aside. But I wasn't going to let that ruin the buffet. I see sushi. Umm I don't eat buffet sushi said the voice in my head. But you could see the gentlemen making in right in front of you, so I decided to try a couple of pieces. It was pretty darn good. I wish I would have tried the sushi earlier so I could have had more, I guess I'll have to wait until next time to try more sushi. Oh yea they even had a "fried sushi roll". There was a whole buffet table of fresh fruit and chilled desserts. There was even exotic Chinese fruit that was very tasty, like a pear and a grape had a baby (sorry I did not write down the name). Some other exotic things I saw on the buffet were crawfish, small crab legs, frog legs (not things I would try but thought you all would like to know). The service was nice also, not once did my drink become empty. You won't be disappointed with this buffet. They get 4 stars because of the greasy spring roll and partially de-veined cocktail shrimp. =) I will try this place again.

great food, great price, and I really enjoy the crab ragoon!
